W. S. MacMillan FINCH (Special) W. Smith MacMillan, lifelong resident of Goldfield, died suddenly at his home here. He was 61.
Mr. MacMillan had been in failing health for the past few years. Mr. MacMillan was born at Elma, Ont., on May 26, 1895, son of the late William H. MacMillan and Margaret Beckstead.
He leaves his widow, the former Muriel Helmer whom he married in 1917; two daughters, Mrs. Harry Sharlow (Jean) of Massena, N.Y. and Mrs. Harold Marcellus (Mae) of Chesterville; four grandchildren, Timothy and Linda Sharlow, Massena, and Lana and Carol Marcellus, Chesterville; two brothers, Ross MacMillan, Avonmore, and his twin brother, Ford MacMillan of Finch, ' i He was predeceased by two brothers and a sister, O. G. MacMillan, Cold Lake, Alta., Hugh MacMillan, Finch, and Mrs. Dan Pollock, Berwick. M The body rested at the Brown lee Funeral Home. Funeral service was held in Chalmers United Church, Finch, with Rev. Cecil A. Dukelow conducting the service, assisted by Douglas Fry of St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Chesterville. Interment was in Goldfield Cemetery.
