Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:30 from the home in Sandusky for Mrs. R.A. McPherson, 76, who was found dead in bed Thursday morning. Rev. Charles Kennedy pastor of the Presbyterian church, will officiate. Burial will be made in Greenwood cemetery.

Mrs McPherson, who before her marriage was Elizabeth Ann Hillock, was born Oct. 22nd, 1865, in Orangeville, Ontario, and married R.A. McPherson March 15, 1893, in Carsonville. Three years later they moved to Sandusky where they have made their home continuously. Mrs. McPherson was a member of the Sandusky Presbyterian church for many years and had taken an active part in the church work until recent years. For many years she taught Sunday school classes and was a member of the board of trustees.

She is survived by her husband, one son, Kenneth McPherson, a daughter, Gertrude McPherson, both of Sandusky; two sisters, Ester Hillock, of Sandusky, and Mrs. Margaret ellerthorpe, of Port Huron, two brothers, John Hillock, of Amadore, and Thomas Hillock, of Yale, and one granddaughter, Sandra McPherson, of Sandusky.

Elizabeth married Robert Alexander McPherson in March15 1893 in Carsonville, Sanilac County, Michigan, United States. Robert (son of Henry McPherson and Margaret Wilson) was born about Jun 1865 in Gananoque, Leeds and Grenville United Counties (Leeds), Ontario, Canada; died in 11Aug 1947 in Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington, United States; was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Sandusky, Sanilac County, Michigan, United States. Sandusky - Gertrude McPherson, 86, 36N. Elk St., Sandusky died Monday, May 26, in Yale Medical Care Facility.

She was born January 1, 1894 in Carsonville, and came to Sandusky in 1896. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth McPherson. Her brother Robert K. passed away in November 1965.

Miss McPherson graduated from Sandusky High School in June, 1913. She then graduated from Oberlin College in 1914. She continued her education at Teacher's College, Columbia University, New York City, with a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master of Arts degree.

Miss McPherson toaught kindergarten a number of years in Sandusky. She was a member of the First United Presbyteriean Church since 1905. She was an Elder of the church. She was past president of the women's association , vice-president Flint Presbyterial Society, member of Sandusky Council of Churches, past secretary of Sandusky Library Board, served on City Planning Commission, charter member Sanilac Count Historical Society.
Miss McPherson is survived by a niece, Elizabeth Alexandra mcPherson, Glen Ellen, California.
