    Elizabeth D. Gilmour.

    Mrs. Elizabeth D. Gilmour passed away Saturday, Sept. 20, at the home of her son, R. M. Gilmour, after an illness of several months. The deceased was born in Cumbernauld, Scotland, July 8, 1848, and was the widow of the late Arthur Gilmour of Glover.

    She had lived in Barton nearly 25 years and was a woman of sterling character and had many friends here and in Glover, her former home. Three children survive her, Elizabeth, who is Mrs. John P. Urie, and Robert M. Gilmour of this place, and Mary, who is Mrs. Selden E. Cass of Chelmsford, five grandchildren and one great grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Marion Nelson of Barton, and two brothers, William and Robert Miller of Glasgow, Scotland. The funeral was held Monday afternoon and was largely attended, the Rev. C. C. Salisbury officiating. Burial was in the Andersonville cemetery in Glover near her old home.

    Robert Miller Gilmour
    On February 28th Robert Miller Gilmour passed away. His last illness followed years of suffering which he bore with unfailing patience and courage.

    The deceased was born in West Glover January 17th, 1873. In 1905 he bought a farm in Barton north of the village which he called "The Pines". He married Lillian Campbell of Albayn on October 9, 1907, at Morrisville. For many years - until ill health caused him to move to his late home - he was a successful farmer. He was a trustee of Barton village for fourteen years. His resignation from office in 1936 was occasioned by failing health He was a member of Orleans Lodge, No. 55, F & AM, and Orient Chapter, No. 13, O.E.S.

    He loved his family, his home, the town and people in it. To them he gave his best in faithful service and never ending loyalty.

    His wife, Lillian Gilmour, and two children, Elizabeth and Wayne; one sister, Mrs J. P, Urie; his aunt, Mrs. Marion Nelson; and two half-brothers, David, of Wolcott, and James Gilmour of Waterbury mourn his loss.

    Robert married Lillian Delia Campbell on 16 Oct 1907 in Barton, Orleans County, Vermont, United States.     Jesse Gilmour, of whose illness mention was made last week, died at his home near South Albany last Wednesday morning. Mr Gilmour was a brigth, energetic young man, and one who was loved and respected throughout the community, and his untimely death will be mourned by a large circle of friends. The funeral services wer held at the home of his parents Friday, Rev. J.C. Taylor of East Craftsbury officiating.

    Funeral services for William W. Miller, 69, who died Wednesday in his home, 4410 N. Seventh will be at 1 p.m. today in the Camelback Chapel and Funeral Home, 21 W. Camelback. The Rev. George Cole will officiate. Cremation will follow. A native of St Louis, Mo, Mr Miller moved to Phoenix from there.

    He had been a member of the plasterers' union Local 3 in St. Louis for 50 years when he retired and moved to Phoenix 5 1/2 years ago. He is survived by his wife, Agnes; a son, John, Kansas City, and a brother, Arthur St. Louis.

    Wayne Gilmour of Eugene, Oregon died Feb. 4 of age-related causes. He was 86.

    Mr. Gilmour was born Dec. 17, 1918, in Barton, Vt., to Robert and Lillian Campbell Gilmour. He married Camille Carlson on June 27, 1947, in Rochester, N.Y.

    He served as an Army paratrooper in the Pacific theater. He earned a bachelor's degree at Bates College and a master's degree in education from the University of Rochester. He worked as a middle school science teacher for 31 years.

    He enjoyed camping, hiking, reading, canoeing, carpentry, travel and spending time with his family.

    Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jim of Eugene and David of Central Point; a daughter, Barbara Markello of Douglas, Wyo.; and six grandchildren.

    Inurnment in the family cemetery in northern Vermont.

    Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene was in charge of arrangements.
