    Julia Dunamel of Rocky Mountain House lost her battle with cancer at the Rocky General Hospital on December 28, 2004.
    Julia was born in Kaszaper, Hungary on October 18, 1927. She immigrated to Canada with her son, Leslie in March 1973. They settled in Rocky Mountain House and Julia later moved to Edmonton, Willingdon and Vegreville. She moved back to Rocky to the Good Samaritan Clearwater Centre in November of this year.

    She is survived by her son Leslie (Bev) Desi of Rocky; her daughter lldiko Desi of Budapest, Hungary, and four grandchildren: Viktor Gerebenics of Budapest, Hungary, Trent (Terri-Lynn) Johannesson of Rocky Mountain House, Brad (Kelly) Johannesson of Sylvan Lake and Nicole (Kerry) Boothe of Sylvan Lake; five great-grandchildren: Mackenzie Carter and Austin Boothe, Taylor and Cassidy Johannesson; her two sisters-in law, Jeannette Ward-Carney of Courtney, BC and Peggy Pusztai of TaTa Creek, BC; three nephews, two nieces and their families. Julia was predeceased by three brothers, Paul, Emery and Joseph Pusztai; one sister, Gizelle and her parents Julia and Pal.

    At her request no funeral will be held and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Julia will be making herfinal journey home to Budapest for interment where a family service will be held. Cremation entrusted to Rocky Mountain Crematorium.
