    A week ago, Mr. A.R. McIntyre, merchant, Middleville, was called away suddenly to attend the funeral of his brother, Captain John McIntyre, reeve of Elderslie,Co. Bruce, who dide suddenly on that day. The deceased gentleman was a native of the town of Perth, and many a year ago, left this part of the country for the Bruce district, where he was a respected and influential resident.

    John married Margaret Somerville Anderson on 5 Jan 1866 in Middleville, Lanark Twp, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada. Margaret (daughter of Edmond John Anderson and Jane "Jennie" Affleck) was born on 21 Jun 1845 in Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; died in 1921 in Chesley, Elderslie Twp, Bruce County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in Saint Andrew's Cemetery, Arran-Elderslie, Bruce County, Ontario, Canada.
