    HALPENNY_ Elsie May Halpenny, born October 12, 1912, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2004. Elsie was predeceased by her husband Lloyd on June 29, 1996, her father George Totten in 1943, her mother Clara in 1964, her sister Helen in 1965, brother George 1984 and sister Beryl 2001. Elsie is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Elsie was married in 1942 and later was employed by Wood Gundy for twenty-five years, retiring in 1977. She had been a Toastmistress and enjoyed public speaking. A past Queen of Anget Temple, Daughters of the Nile; past President, The Wa Wa Temple Ladies Auxiliary to the Shriners' Hospitals for Crippled and Burned Children; an elder of Lakeview United Church and a past officer of the U.C.W. Elsie loved the water, swimming and boating at the cottage. The family would like to thank Diane and Alan Hind and all the care givers for the excellent care she has received at Erimus Personal Care Home where Elsie had been a resident since June 2001. The family is also very grateful to Dr. Stephen Bester.

    Elsie married Lloyd G. Halpenny in 1942. Lloyd (son of Robert Edmund Halpenny and Eva King) was born in 1915; died on 29 Jun 1996; was buried in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
