Miss Viva E. McKay, librarian in Linwood for some years died Thursday, January 22nd, at her home. She was organist at St. Andrew's United Church until recently.

Miss McKay, born in Linwood, was a daugher of the late John L. McKay and Arabella Beaton. She was a member of St. Andrw's Church, the Women's Missionary Society, the Woman's Association and Linwood Women's Institute.

She is survived by her sister, Miss Edna B. McKay, with whom she lived. A brother, Ralph, predeceased her.

The body rested at her home wher the funeral was conducted Saturday at 2:30 pm, with Gerald Townsend, student minister officiating. Burial was in Linwood United Cemetery.
