Walter Renwick Knox born January 23, 1878 in Orillia to William Knox and Joan Cranston. Walter was a track and field athlete and his life of adventure was written about in the book titled "Hot Foot: Walter Knox's Remarkable Life as a Professional in an Amateur World" by David F. Town.
Walter married Mary Boyce June 25, 1924. They had no children. When Mary died in 1942 Walter remarried and he died in Florida in 1951.
