    Wilson John Bry Jr.

    Wilson John Brys Jr., 75, died June 14, 2000, at Sunbridge Nursing and Rehabilitation in Quincy. He was born May 8, 1925, in Bellevue, Wash.

    Wilson was a Plumas County resident since moving here in 1968 from Los Angeles. He had been a longtime resident of Twain and had just recently moved to Quincy.

    He was employed by Western Pacific Railroad, retiring after 22 years of service as a Steel Gang Supervisor. Following his retirement from the railroad, he served as Campground Supervisor at Whitehorse Campground at Bucks Lake for a number of years.

    Wilson served with the U.S. Navy, serving in the Pacific during World War II, and was proud to be a crew member aboard the USS Enterprise.

    An avid railroad buff, he enjoyed the outdoors of Plumas County and especially the Feather River Canyon through snowmobiling, hiking, fishing and camping.

    He is survived by his son, Jonathan Wayne Brys of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughter, Jacie Brys-Castle of Anchorage, Alaska; brother, Bill Wheeler of Chehalis, Wash.; and three grandchildren, all of Anchorage, Alaska.

    Following a cremation at Fehrman Crematory in Quincy, at his request no services were held. The family requests any donations in his memory be made to the Plumas County Sheriff Association's Needy Children's Fund, co Fehrman Mortuary and Crematory, P.O. Box 53, Quincy, CA 95971.

    Charlene Loudon, 48, formerly of Salem, died Sunday in her home of cancer. She was born in Renton, Wash., and lived in Salem for more than 12 years. She attended Salem-area schools. When she was a teen-ager she traveled extensively in Europe. She enjoyed time on the Oregon Coast and in the rainforests.

    Survivors include her husband, Tom, whom she married in 1989.
