Services for Marcelete S. "Lee" Pennock, 65, of Lompoc, will be at 11 p.m. Wednesday at Lompoc Cemetery. The Rev. J.T. Reed of First Southern Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star will officiate. Mrs Pennock was born May 30, 1925 in Dallas, Texas and had lived in Lompoc since 1978, moving here from New Jersey. A member of Miguelito Chapter 176 Order of the Eastern Star and a homemaker, Mrs. Pennock had been honored with numerous awards , for her poetry and had several published nationally.

Mrs. Pennock died Sunday evening at her home after a lengthy illness.

Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Jack Pennock of Lompoc; two daughters, Martha Hendrix of Dallas, Texas and Judith Tayrien of Los Angeles; five sons, GarryGirard and James Lee, both of Los Angeles, Roger Lee of Gulfport, Miss.; R. Scott Lee of Great Falls, Mont, and Gregory Lee of Dothan, Alaska; a step-daughter, Marcella Hoier of Rosamond; a step-son, Murray Pennock of Las Vegas; three sisters, Lida Maples of Tehachapi and Jewell Hill and Mildred Bartley, both of Austin, Texas; 22 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may pay their respects in the chapel of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary from 2-8pm Tuesday
