McILQUHAM. Death has come to a home in Drummond and removed from this earth Miss Margaret McIlquham, one of the township's most esteemed women says the Era. She had been ill for six weeks with heart trouble, and although the highest medical skill was called in to attend to the case nothing could be done to avert the end. The funeral took place from her late residence, 10th con. Drummond, on Friday to the Lanark Village cemetery. Margaret McIlquham was born in Drummond at the farm where she breathed her last. She was 62 years and 6 months old. Her surviving brothers and sisters are Peter at Pincher Creek, Alta.; John K. Drummond; William, Carleton Place; George, Drummond; Mrs. H. Blair, Pakenham; Mrs. John Menzies, Carleton Place. She was a woman that bore herself with much command of respect. Kindness of heart and a tender sympathy gently pressed their way into the affections and found the spring from which loves flows. She graced and adorned her sex by gentleness and sincerity. Her going away leaves a vacant place in the heart. The name of Margaret McIlquham will be kept green in all our memories.
