    says Eric Harold Joynt was born in South Elmsley on Nov. 30, 1912. His parents were John W. Joynt, born New Boyne, and Alberta Goode, born North Gower. Eric died at South Elmsley on Jan. 1, 1924 at the age of 11 years, 1 month & 2 days. The primary cause of death was influenza, contibuted by septic myocarditis, lasting 7 days. He was cared for by Dr. R. M. Ferguson of Smiths Falls. The informant of his death was his father, John W. Joynt, of RR1 Lombardy. Eric was buried at Rideau Ferry Cemetery on Jan. 3, 1924. The undertaker was J. C. Webster of Smiths Falls.
