    Died:
    Mrs. James G. McLean
There passed away at her home on North street in Perth, on Monday morning, October 21, Mrs James G. McLean. Wife of the late James G. McLean, deceased was well known in Perth but especially so in Lanark where she spent the greater part of her life. Mr. McLean conducted a tailoring business in Lanark for over thirty years, and fifteen years ago they came to reside in Perth.

Mrs. McLean, whose maiden name was Agnes Prentice, was born in Lanark Village, daughter of the late James Prentice and Marrion Umpherson.

A woman of frail health for many years, her husband's death on New Year's Day of this year was a shock which seemed greater than she could bear. Since that time her health steadily declined until she was forced to take to bed just three weeks prior to her death.

Deceased was a home-loving lady, with her chief interests centred in her home and family. Although of quiet and retiring disposition, she made many sincere friends who deeply mour her passing.

She is survived by one daughter, Miss Marion McLean, and one brother, J. Lorne Prentice, both of Perth.

The funeral was on Wednesday, Oct. 23, from the chapel of Blair and Son, Gore Street, to the Lanark village cemetery for interment. Rev. W.R. Alp, B.A., of St. Paul's United Church, officiated. The pallbearers were John Laidley, Melville McDougall, George McTavish, all of Perth, John Molyneaux and Hilyard McLean of Lanark and Robert Paul of McDonald's Corners.

Those from whom floral tributes were received were the following: wreatahs, Marion, Mr.; and Mrs. J.L. Prentice and family, Mr. and Mrs. James Prentice; sprays, Mr. and Mrs. John Molyneaux, Mr. and Mrs. Duncan Gunn, the Dunnett family of Brighton, public school staff of Brighton, Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Mulligan and Kathleen, Mrs. Findley McLean and Hilyard, Mrs. Andrew Paul and Rob, Mr. and Mrs. L. Karakowsky, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Kaye' baskets, Miss Margaret Imeson, Miss Mary Dunnett of Brighton and Miss Marion Mikel of Consecon.
