McKerracher. Deep regret was felt when a wire was received in Perth on Friday of the death the previous day, July 6th of Christena Allan, widow of J. H. McKerracher a former resident of Perth.

Deceased was the third daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Allan of the Scotch Line and for fourteen months had been a patient in San Haven Tuberculosis Sanitarium, near Dunseith, North Dakota, where everything that medical skill could do was done for her, but all to no avail.

For several years she was one of several supervisors employed by Fargo School Board and in charge of the play grounds in holiday time, and was held in highest esteem by those whom she came in contact.

The funeral took place in Fargo on Saturday, July 8th and she was laid to rest beside her husband who predeceased her 21 years ago. She is survived by five daughters and one son, all married and residents of the United States, also one stepdaughter in Winnipeg.

There also survive three sisters and five brothers, Mrs. W. J. [William J.] Palmer [Jane Drysdale], Wemyss; Mrs. Hugh McEwen [Ann Dewar], Sinclair?, Man.; Mrs. John H. Blair [Mary Emma], Fallbrook; J. D. [James D.] Allan, Perth; A. Allan [Alexander], Almonte; Malcolm Allan, Bottrell [sic - Bottrel], Alta.; Robert Allan, Scotch Line; Archibald Allan, Burritt's Rapids.
