    McKay -
    Captain Robert H. McKay who saw the building of Old Fort Henry opposite Kingston in early 30's, and who witnessed the execution of the rebel leader, Von Shultz, in the fort in 1838, died there aged ninety-one years. Captain McKay sailed on the Great Lakes for many years. He was an uncle of Messrs. Henry Hudson and Mrs. R. Hale of Perth, Daniel, of Burritt's Rapids, and other members of the Hudson family here and elsewhere, their mother having been a Miss McKay. The late Captain occasionally visited the family here.

    Fulton, April 18.
    Robert H. McKay, 92, a former resident of this city, died yesterday in Kingston, ONt. A funeral service was held at the place of his dath but prayer will be said at the Case Memorial Chapel in Mt. Adnah cemetery, this city, Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock.

    Mr McKaky is survived by two sons, Hohn A. McKay, publisher of Life, New York, and Robert H. McKay, contractor, this city; also one daughter, Mrs H.B. Milles of Kingston.

    Mr McKay was born in Kingston and in the early days saw service in the British navy. Later he settled near this city and was a well known farmer about Fulton and Oswego. He was a thirty-third degree Mason and a member of Hiram Lodgee, F&AM of this city, having been transferred from Smiths Falls Lodge, Ontario, where he joined.

    Until his health failed him, Mr. McKay was a frequent visitor in this city after he moed to Canada.
