    My name is Eduardo Alomia son of Clara Santa Cruz Nairn and according to Ancestry you and my mom could be 4th+ cousins. She does not speak English and I have been the one populating our family tree hoping to find connections with the DNA test. According to your family tree, so far you are the closest match to a Nairn family. I noticed you have a John Nairn father and a John Nairn son (1818). My second great grandfather is John Nairn but from 1821 and he was also Scottish. At that time a few years off would not matter since I seen ancestors with different DOB. What it does not match was the parents name. Jon's parents in my side are Robert Nairn and Mary Ann Lloyd. Of course then and now people were having also kids with woman other that there wife . I would love to find the link between you and my mother so that I can connect more family to the tree. My 2nd great grandfather migrated to Iquique Per? but during the war between Peru and Chile, Peru lost Iquique to Chile. Also for some reason his name was changed and translated in Spanish to Juan. I have a photo of him on my tree. If you have any informations or suggestion as how we can connect you to my mom's tree, it would be great. One more thing, I live in the United States since 1983.

    At Middleville, Dec 29th, Mr. Archibald A. Nairn, aged 54 years. Born in Dalhousie, the only son of the late Archibald Nairn & the late Grace Galbraith, who died twenty and eighteen years ago respectively. Twenty six years ago, he married Euphemia Paul, of Dalhousie, eldest daughter of the late Robert Paul. To them were born three children; Willie G., who died nine years ago, and Lena M. and Robert A. who survive, with their mother. He had seven sisters; Janet (Mrs. Andrew Erskine), of Lammermoor; Beatrice (Mrs. John Gibson), of Lammermoor, deceased; Mary (Mrs. J. McNicol), of Watson's Crs.; Grace (Mrs. Robert Affleck), of Middleville; Euphemia (Mrs. Wm. Gibson), of Lammermoor; Ellen (Mrs. R. Bruntin), of Prospect, deceased; Margaret (Mrs. John Mather), of Middleville. Burial in Hopetown cemetery. ~

    Peacefully in his sleep at his home at Middleville on Wednesday April 23rd, 2008 at the age of 82 years. Lyall will be sadly missed by his brother Earl (Audrey) Mather, sister Muriel Somerville, nieces and nephews Cheryl and Darwin Foster, Paul and Robin Mather, Karen and Frank Westerlaken, Linda Tremblay and David Jackson , Jack and Hermina Somerville, David Mather and Elaine Splett, Stephanie and John Binet and their families,sister-in-law Sarah "Beth" Mather, neighbours Lionel and Audrey Easton, Patrick and Caroline Oulette and many good friends. Lyall was a life time resident and farmer in the Middleville area and was well known for his love of fiddling. He was predeceased by his parents John and Erma Mather and brothers Glen and Ellis Mather. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W., Perth Friday April 25th from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 P.M. Funeral service will be held in Trinity United Church, Middleville Saturday at 2:00 P.M. Interment, Greenwood Cemetery, Middleville. In remembrance, contributions to Trinity United Church Fund or fund of one's choice would be appreciated.
