    MARGARET HINSDALE HALL PITTSFIELD, Mass. W) Miss Margaret Hinsdale Hall, 74, former headmistress of Miss Hall's school, died Wednesday while at the annual meeting of the Berkshire Historical Society. Miss Hall was secretary and assistant headmistress of the girls' private preparatory school from 1922 to 1937 and headmistress from 1938 until she retired in 1948. She was born in Ware, Mass.

    Miss Margaret Hall Dies in Pittsfield
    Miss Margaret H. Hall, 74, of 113 East Housatonic St, Pittsfield, former headmistress of Miss Hall's School for Girls at Pittsfield and a founder and first president of the Berkshire Historical Society, died suddenly last night while attending the society's annual meeting in the Berkshire Life Insurance Co. Building.
    She was born in Ware and was educated at Miss Hall's School and Miss Porter's School in Farmington, Conn. She had lived in Pittsfield since 1900. She served as secretary and assistant headmistress at Miss Hall's School from 1922 to 1937 and was headmistress from 1937 until 1948.
    Shortly before she died last night, she was elected executive secretary of the historical society, having stepped down from the presidency.

    Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 pm, in First Church of Christ Congregational, Pittsfield. Burial will be in Pittsfield Cemetery.
