    McKINNON, Honourable Allan Bruce, P.C., M.C., CD. At Victoria, B.C., on Wednesday, September 19, 1990. Born in Canora, Saskatchewan, In 1917, he was raised In Rokeby and Kincaid, enlisted In the Royal Canadian Artillery in 1939, was commissioned In 1943 and served in Italy and Northwest Europe with the P.P.C.L.I. Retired from the military In 1965 and taught school in Victoria. He served on the Victoria School Board and was first elected to the House of Commons in 1972, representing Victoria until his retirement In 1988.

    He was sworn of the Privy Council and appointed Minister ol National Defence and Minister of Veterans Affairs in 1979. He Is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth McKinnon and sons, Ian and Peter. Funeral service will be held In St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Victoria, B.C., on September 24, 1990, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Allan and Elizabeth McKinnon Scholarship Fund, University of Victoria, P.O.

    McKINNON In Victoria, B.C. on September 22, 1998, Joan Elizabeth ("Wib") McKinnon (nee Menzies), after a lengthy illness. Born March 22, 1919 in Kincaid, Saskatchewan, and raised there and in Vancouver. Widow of the late Honourable Allan McKinnon, PC. She is survived by son, Ian and his wife, Cory and son, Peter and his wife, Patricia; and sister Elaine and brother, Ross.

    She has four grandchildren, Lauchlan, John Alexander, Glyn and Gillian. She contracted polio as an infant and fought it throughout her life. She was particularly proud of her work in Ottawa during the War and later for Vivian Diesel in Vancouver. She was a gifted painter, pianist, wife and homemaker, and is already sadly missed. Funeral service will be held at McCall Bros.

    Floral Chapel, Johnson and Vancouver Sts on Monday, September 28, at 1 1 :00 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. John Allan officiating. Interment to follow at Royal Oak Burial Park.
