    Mrs. David Ennis of Bathurst Township passed away suddenly at her home near Fallbrook last Thursday night at 12 o'clock. She was in her 63rd year. For some time she had been suffering with goitre, but not seriously, and had been attending to her household duties as usual up to the time of her death. Indeed on Thursday afternoon she attended the funeral of a neighbor's child, after returning from which she had done the milking and evening chores, retiring to bed as usual without complaining. Near midnight she awakened her daughter and asked for a drink, and it was then noticed that her condition was serious. Medical attendance was summoned, but before the doctor arrived the spirit had taken flight.

    Mrs. Ennis was born in the Township of Bathurst. Her maiden name was Elizabeth Ennis. About thirty-five years ago she was married to Mr. Ennis and to them were born six children. One son is dead and those surviving are Mrs. Alex. Buffalo, Lanark; Mrs. Arch. Erwin, Fallbrook; Mrs. Fred. Gilchrist, Perth; Robert and Elsie at home. Four brothers and two sisters also survive - Thomas at Balderson; Arthur, at Fallbrooke; David and Samuel, out West; Mrs. Drupe, Petrol; Maggie at Fallbrook.

    The funeral took place on Saturday at 3 o'clock to Elmwood cemetery, Perth, Rev. T.L. Born officiating.

    Mrs. Ennis was a fine type of woman. Her life emphasized the beauties of a charitable heart and hand, ever ready to administer help and sympathy to those in distress.
