Floeter, Mrs. Marcella M., Saginaw, Michigan. Our "Saint Marcie" returned to heaven on Thursday, October 30, 1930. Age 78 years. This world has lost a wonderful person. She was a kind and gentle lady who deeply loved her family and will be missed by many. The daughter of the late Earl and Estelle (Bierlein) Crampton, Marcella was born March 19, 1925 in Saginaw, Michigan. Marcella was married for many yeas to Marlin Garchow, the father of her children. She later married John Floeter, her "knight in shining armor", on December 30, 1966. He predeceased her June 18, 2001. Marcella and Jack enjoyed eating at Uncle Bob's Restaurant and had many friends there. Marcella leaves to cherish her memory two children, Paul Garchow, Bay City; Kathleen Garchow, Saginaw; three sisters, Ida Zwingman, Betty and Harry Loth, Dona and Ed Poineau; sinster-in-law and brother-in-law, Dorothy Crampton and Martha Wallace, Wayne and Judy Garchow, Gladys Richards; many nieces and nephews. Marcella was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers, Estelle Watter, Walter, William and Robert Crampton. Funeral serivce will take place 12:00 noon Friday, October 31, 2003 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Walter David will officiate. Private interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Friday form 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Alzheimer's Foundation of Michigan.

POINEAU, Dona M. 79, of Essexville and formerly of Reese went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday afternoon, October 6, 2011 at Covenant Healthcare - Cooper Campus after a very lengthy illness. She was born on August 21, 1932 in Saginaw, daughter of the late Samuel E. and Estella K. (Bierlein) Crampton. She married Edward Poineau on April 3, 1951 in Saginaw. Dona was devoted to her Lord, Family, and Church. She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Reese along with volunteering with many different areas of the church and Ladies Aide. Dona had volunteered at the Bethesda Thrift Store in Saginaw for 25 years along with working in the Grandparents Reading Program at Reese Elementary School. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, always wanting to help whenever she could. Surviving in addition to husband Edward of 60 years, are her children, Timothy (Donna) Poineau of St. Augustine, Florida, Pamela Mercier of Bay City, Perry Poineau of Essexville; grandchildren, Shelli Poineau, Heather (Rick) Bartel all of Mesa Arizona, Derek Poineau of St. Augustine, Florida; sisters, Betty Loth, Ida Zwingman both of Saginaw; sister-in-law, Martha Wallace of Frankenmuth; special friend, Marion Knack of Munger and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, a grandson, Scott Poineau, brothers, William, George, Walter and Robert Crampton, sisters, Estelle Watters and Marcella Floeter all predeceased her. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2011 from Trinity Lutheran Church in Reese. Rev. Dr. Robert Bennett and Vicar Sean Willman will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. Dona's family will receive friends at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 9940 Saginaw Street, Reese on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Trinity Lutheran School Library or the donor's favorite charity.

NOVAK, Ellen Marie - Of Flint, age 65, died Sunday, September 14, 2014 at her residence.

Funeral service will be held 12noon Friday, September 19, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Chaplain Todd Regester officiating. Cremation has taken place. Contributions are requested to be made to the family. Visitation 10am Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Ellen was born in Saginaw on April 30, 1949, the daughter of William A. and Dorothy (LaSarge) Crampton and was a resident of Saginaw and Flint. Ellen was a Real Estate Property Manager.

Surviving are daughter, Sherri Novak of Flint; grandson, William Hickey of Flint; step-daughter, Rachel Berlin of Detroit; god-daughter, Tanya Melchor of Ohio; sister, Shirley (Pat) Grabowski of Reese; nephew, Todd (Shannon) Fryer, Noah and Colten of Durand; Niece Kristie(Nate) Hamilton, Isabella, Emma and Abigail of Hudsonville; Uncle Edward Poineau and family of Essexville, Aunt Betty Loth and family of Saginaw; many cousins, friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, brother, William E. Crampton, son, William L. Novak and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family would like to thank the staff at McLaren Hospital and the wonderful people from Hospice who made her passing so much easier to handle.
