MENZIES - Passed away Monday October 18, 1976 Donald Robert Menzies, aged 78 years, beloved husband of Mrs. Burnes Menzies of Fort Macleod.

Born in Purth, Ontario, he came west to Botha Alberta in 1916.

He married Burnes Richardson at Botha in 1921 and they farmed there until 1949 when they sold their farm and purchased another at Stettler. He retired in 1965 and moved to Fort Macleod.

During his years in the Stettler district, he was an active and avid curler.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. F. Eunice Lemire of Fort Macleod; four grandchildren, one brother, Alfred Menzies of Purth, Ontario, two sisters, Mrs. Doris Robinson of Toronto, Ontario, and Mrs. Amy Scott of Dundas, Ontario.

Predeceased by one son, Jim, in 1944.

Donald married Margaret Burns Richardson in 1921. Margaret (daughter of Richard Thomas Richardson and Patience Marriott) was born in 1899 in Hebron, Thayer County, Nebraska, United States; died on 12 Mar 1977; was buried in Union Cemetery, Fort Macleod, Charesholm Census Division, Alberta, Canada.
