    Died:
    Hazel Isobel Ennis
At her home inToronto on October 30,m died Hazel Isobel Ennis. She had enjoyed unusually good health all her life until a year ago when she first fell sick. She was the oldest daughter of George Wilson and his wife Caroline Ennis, and was born at Visalia California, on December15, 1983. Shortly after her birth her parents returned to Canada and she grew up on the Scotch Linewhere she attended the Central school and later Perth Collegiate Institute.

In 1919 she married Martin Ennis and spent the rest of her life in Toronto. Her heart remained in the country where she grew up and her funeral took place in Perth and she was buried in the family plot beside her parents and her brother Samuel who had predeceased her by only three weeks.

She had one daughter, Mary Isobel, Mrs Lorne Le Bar, now living in Montreal, and three grandchildren. Four sisters and two brothers survive her: Margaret (Mrs. Alfred Bowes); Caroline (Mrs Howard Barr); Mary (Mrs Anson Bowes); Agnes (Mrs Alfred Menzies); George Ear, for fifty years a professor at Dalhousie University, and James Arthur, long resident in Regina.

Mrs Ennis was a very active member of All Saints Anglican Church and her old rector, Rev. Mr. Smyth, came to Perth to conduct her funeral service. He paid glowing tribute to her work and to her character, saying she combined the virtues of Mary and Martha and was a splendid example of her Presbyterian upbringing. To do her duty was her constant aim andin this she seldom failed. She was always a tower of strength in times of trouble but along with her charity she combined much shrewdness and common sense. She was an excellent business woman.

Her pall bearers were Cecil and Ralph Dodds, Arthur and John Bowes, Alfred and George Menzies.
