Gilmour - At the 6th Con. of Ramsay on Sunday, Nov 28, 1920. William A. Gilmour, aged 63 years.

Wm. A. Gilmour
A well known and respected resident of Ramsay township passed away on Sunday Nov 28, in the person of Mr. Wm. A. Gilmour after a short illness from heart trouble. Deceased who was a son of the late Allan Gilmour was born in Ramsay about sixty-three years ago where he spent all his life. About twenty-five years ago he married Annie Yuillk, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. R. Yuill. She survives with two daughters and one son, Misses Effie and Inez and Mr. Stewart to whom the sympathy of a large circle of friends goes out to in their sudden bereavement. The funeral took place on Tuesday November 30 from his late residence, 6th Con. of Ramsay to the 8th line cemetery. In absence of a Presbyterian minister, Rev. H.W. Jackson conducted the funeral service at the home and the grave.

William married Annie Yuill about 1895 in Ramsay Twp, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada. Annie (daughter of Robert Yuill and Agnes Taylor) was born about 1863 in Ramsay Twp, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; died about 1946 in Almonte, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in Almonte, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada. Gilmour - In hospital, Almonte, Ontario, on Tuesday, August 14th, 1979, Effie Margaret Gilmour, dear daughter of the late William Gilmour and the late Annie Yuill; dear sister of Inez Gilmour, Almonte. Predeceased by one brother Stewart. Rested at the Kerry Funeral Home, 154 Elgin Street, Almonte where service was held on thursday at 2pm, Rev Robert McCrea officiating. Interment Auld Kirk Cemetery.

Predeceased by a brother Stewart Glimour and her twin sister Effie Gilmour. In her 95th year. Friends called a the Kerry Funeral Chapel, 154 Elgin Street, Almonte. Funeral Service was held in the Chapel on Wednesday, Rev Edward S. Colwell officiated. Interment Auld Kirk Cemetery in the spring.
