    The village of Fallbrook lost one of its oldest and most esteemed residents March 8, 1950, when James Lachlan Cameron passed away after a short illness in the GWM Hospital here. Mr Cameron was in his 95th year.
    Deceased was born at Cote-du-Midi, near Lachute, PQ, one of the 13 children of the late John Cameron and Joanne Graham. On February 3, 1892, he married Margaret Wrathwell at Perth and moved to Fallbrook where he opened a blacksmith shop.

    Of the union came two sons and two daughters, Walter G., of Fallbrook, and Hubert of Brockville, who passed February 4, 1947, also Mabel of the Department of Agriculture Office in Perth, and Morna of Smiths Falls.

    The late Mr Cameron was the last of a family of 13, his twin brother Alex having predeceased him in September 1936.

    Also surviving are three grandsons, James Graham, of Queen's University, Garry and Wayne Cameron of Brockville.

    Deceased was a blacksmith and woodworker by trade starting with his brother William at Lachute, PQ, later with the CPR shops in Perth, and at McLaren's Depot on the Scotch Line. In May 1888, he opened a combination blacksmith and woodworking shop in Fallbrook.

    His largely attended funeral was held from the Blair and Son Funeral Home on March 11, to Elmwood Cemetery, where he was placed in the vault for interment in the Spring. Rev W.R. Alp performed the funeral services. The pall bearers, all friends of the deceased were John Blair, James Anderson, Herb Gallagher, Eric Sommerville , Bert Matthie and Elmer McKinnon.

    In hospital Perth, Ontario on Sunday, November 23, 1986, Walter G. Cameron, in his 93rd year. Husband of the late Isobel M. Blair. Dear father of Graham and his wife June of Ottawa. Predeceased by infant daughter Margaret. Loving grandfather of Grant and his wife Cathy of Ottawa, Janet of Toronto, Brett of Ottawa. Predeceased by brother Hugh and sisters Mabel and Morna.

    Friends may call at the Blair and Son Funeral Home, Perth from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Service will be conducted in St. Paul's United Church, Perth on Wednesday, November 26 at 1:30 p.m. Interment Elmwood Cemetery.     Peacefully on Friday, September 13, 2019, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Eva June for 60 years. Loving father to Grant (Cathy), Janet (Mike), and Brett (Laura). Cherished grandfather to Heather, Anna, Audrey, Julie, Julia, Andrew, and Jennifer. Graham's love was expressed through his humour, musicality, and devotion to family and friends. Graham dedicated his working life to the public good. He was an award-winning civil servant, receiving accolades for advancing Canada's standing in the international standards community. Graham's values will live on through the many people he touched in his personal and professional life. Graham's life will be celebrated at a private ceremony in the coming days.
