Myron Barber
Services will be held Friday at the Church of Christ in Redwood Falls for Myron Barber, 74, Redwood Falls, who died Tuesday, January 29, 1991 at the Redwood Falls Hospital where he had been a patient for three days. Visitation will be held 4 to 9 p.m. today at the Nelson Funeral Home in Redwood Falls and at the church for an hour before the service. Rev. Doug Votaw will officiate and the soloist will be Pat Pedersen. Pallbearers will be Wayne Barber, Todd Barber, John and Loren Symington, Victor Langrell and Wayne Knudsen. Internment will be in the Crestland Memorial Gardens in rural Redwood Falls. Myron Barber was born June 11, 1916 in Underwood Township, Redwood County to William and Blanche Lee Barber. He attended rural Redwood County Schools and lived on the family farm. On July 12, 1947, he married Eulah MacColl in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. After the marriage, the couple lived on the family farm in Vesta until 1965 when they moved to Vesta. In 1969, they moved to Redwood Falls and these past years spent the winter months in Texas. Myron worked for United Building Center and ActiveAid of Redwood Falls. He was a member of Church of Christ and served as deacon and a trustee. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club. Survivors include his wife; a son and his wife, William and Eunice Barber of Brooklyn Park; four grandchildren, Todd, Cory, Jody, and Heidi Jo; a brother, Lee Barber of Vesta and a sister, Mrs. Chester (Winnie) Symington of Neche, N.D.
