    A former resident of this districty, William J. Rudsdale, died in hospital at Woodstock on Nov. 20, 1977
    Mr. Rudsdale was born at Glen Tay in 1903, a son of the late Richard Rudsdale and his wife, Lillian Dodds. He is survived by his wife, Mary, five daughters, several grandchildren and his sister, Margaret (Mrs. Vernon Wood) of Perth. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mildred, and his sister, Louise (Mrs. Mervyn Ferrier).
    The funeral was held from the Sydenham Funeral Home on Nov. 23 with burial at Verona where he had lived for some years.

    Arthur passed away peacefully in Perth on Thursday, March 24th, 2016 with his loving wife of 50 years, Joan (Schumann) by his side. He was the beloved father of Judy (Dan) Ferrier and Randy Ferrier and very loving and proud grandfather "Dads" of Matthew Ferrier McCaffrey. Arthur was the dear brother of Dorothy (late Jack) Tysick and Helen (Leonard) Stead. He was predeceased by his parents Mervyn and Lousie (Rudsdale) Ferrier and sister Jean Ferrier and brother Keith (Margaret) Ferrier. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends and staff at Perth Community Care Centre. Arthur will be long remembered for his sense of humour, quiet nature and his lifelong passion for horses. He was a farmer all of his life, farming his third generation farm on the Scotch Line into his eighties. Arthur was a proud member of the Belgian Association. We will miss him terribly, but knowing he's now in peace in Heaven most likely riding a horse, eases our pain.

    Dorry entered into rest with the Lord, in the presence of her family, in hospital, Perth on Saturday, April 8, 2017. Dorothea Louise Tysick (n?e Ferrier) of Perth was in her 87th year. She was predeceased by her parents Mervyn and Louise Ferrier (n?e Rudsdale); her daughter Linda; and by her siblings Arthur, Keith and Jean. Dorry was the beloved wife of the late John "Jack" Tysick. Cherished mother to Dianne (Robert) Pinder-Moss, of Gillies Corners; and Jim (Catherine) Tysick, of Perth. Dorry enjoyed special relationships with her five grandchildren, Vanessa (Chris Flieler), Alyssa, David, Jonathan (Rebekah) and Andrew. She will be fondly remembered by her surviving sister Helen (Leonard) Stead, of Hopetown; as well as her sisters-in- law, Joan and Margaret, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation took place at the O'DACRE FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Victoria Street, Perth on Sunday, April 9, 2017. Funeral Service will take place on Monday, April 10 at 2:00 p.m. in St. James the Apostle Anglican Church, Perth, with the Rev. Kenneth O. Davis, officiating. Spring Interment, St. Stephens Anglican Church Cemetery, Brooke.     Obituary of Helen Stead
    Stead, Alice "Helen" Lillian

    Helen passed away peacefully at the Welland Hospital on Tuesday March 22nd, 2022 at the age of 84. She is now reunited with Leonard, her late husband of 60 years. Helen was the cherished mother of Cheryl Stead and Terry (Lynn) Stead, and the dear grandmother of Brandon (Tiffany) Stead, great-grandmother of Rowyn and Hunter. Helen was predeceased by her parents Mervyn and Louise (nee Rudsdale) Ferrier. She was the dear sister of the late Arthur Ferrier (Joan surviving), the late Keith Ferrier (Margaret surviving), late Dorothea "Dorry" (Jack) Tysick, and the late Jean Ferrier. Helen is survived by her sister-in-law Mildred Munro and predeceased by late Welly Munro, Frank (Kaye) Stead, Earl (Dorothy) Stead and Harold (Lilias) Stead. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

    Retiring in 1995 after 23 years at Imperial Optical in Welland, Helen and Leonard returned to Lanark to build their retirement home and to be reunited with family and friends.

    Friends are invited to join the family for a graveside ceremony at the Hopetown Cemetery on Tuesday, March 29th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. A reception and celebration of life will follow at Timber Run Golf Club Lanark, Ontario. In honour of Helen, memorial contributions to the Hopetown Cemetery or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Perth.

    Margaret "Peggy" Louise (nee Rudsdale), late of Weyburn passed away Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the age of 64 years. Peggy was predeceased by her parents, William and Mildred Rudsdale, sons, Christopher Scott and Tory Dean, sister, Linda and nephew, Alex. She leaves behind the father of her children, the man she oved, Carl Shangraw, her son Derrick, daughter, Trudy (David), three grandchildren, Cassandra (Jordan), Byron and Jackie, her sisters, Kim (Charlie), Carol (Phil), Ruth (Jim) and numerous nieces and nephews.

    Peggy was born in Kingston, Ontario in 1945. She grew up in Berona, Ontario, where she met Carl and married in 1963, at Portland Ontario. They resided in Harrowsmith, Ontario, until they moved to Weyburn in 1967 where she lived until her passing. Peggy spent most of her time volunteering at her church helping where she could. When she wasn't busy with the church she was doing her bible study, crafts and taking care of her family. she was a fun loving person and could always see the good in everyone and any situation she encountered. She truly enjoyed all of the visits from everyone and felt the love and encouragement that was sent her way. she especially enjoyed the time spent with her dear friend Florence. She treasured her fellowship with Yvonne, Pastor Harley and Rhonda. She looked forward to her games hights with family and friends. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by everyone that came to know her over the years of her life. A memorial service was held Friday, September 25th, 2009 sy 2:00 pm from the Silver Heights Bible Church, Weyburn with Pastor Harley Porter officiating. Internment foolowed at the Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Weyburn. Honorary Pallbearers were all in attendance.

    Entered her peace on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at home surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born to the late Linda Thomas (2005), she was in her 51st year. Beautiful wife of Owen. Most loving and loved mother of Stevie (Clayton), Danika (Mike) and Courtney (Matthew). Angel Nanan to baby Willa. Dear sister to Vikki (Randy) Preece. She will be missed and warmly remembered by many family and friends who made her life full. Special thanks to nurses Joanne, Theresa and the team at Sts. Joseph's Home Care for their unparalleled support. A visitation will be held at L.G. Wallace Funeral Home, 151 Ottawa St. N. (905) 544-1147 on Thursday, October 18th from 7-9 pm and Friday, October 19th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 on Saturday, Octyober 20th at 9:30 am. Interment to follow at Carluke Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Children's Aid Society of Hamilton's Holiday Family Sponsorship Program - or the like - would be appreciated.
