    Saturday afternoon the startling intelligence was heralded that Robert Walker was dead and that his death was sudden and unexpected. Mr. Walker had not slept much the night before. He had been having considerable trouble with his heart for some time and as a consequence he spent many sleepless nights. Saturday afternoon he had been lying down, about 4 o'clock he came into the sitting room and sat down in his easy chair near the window. His folks did not notice anything amiss and thought he had fallen asleep. when it was nearly supper time they attempted to arouse him, then it was the terrible discovery was made. Dr. Buchen was summoned and when he arrived he pronounced Mr. Walker beyond the reach of human aid. His heart had ceased to perform its proper functions.
    The funeral occurred from the house Monday afternoon, Rev. Medlar of the Congregational Church officiating. A large number of old friends and heighbors gathered to pay their last respects to him who had been one of the prime factors in the growth and development of our magnificent village. Two children besides his wife survive Mr. Walker. They are Mrs. Herbert Teeson of Forest River, ND and Mrs. Teesen of Waterloo, Quebec. The former accompanied by her husband was present at the funeral. Three brothers and two sisters survive him. They are James, Daniel and William, and Mrs. Andrew Purdon of Alexandria and Mrs. Joseph Gilpin of Osseo, WI.

    Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Teeson were held on Thursday, Dec. 14, 1961 from the First Congregational church with Rev. Paul Dahlstrom officiating. Interment was in the Kinkead cemetery. The casket bearers were Dr. H. J. Larson, F. M. Unumb, H. James Boyd, Douglas Oppel, Clifford Peterson, Sr., and Robert Carlisle. Honorary pallbearers were Orie D. Olson, H. B. Wussaw, C. Fred Hanson, Hugh B. Robards, Oscar G. Englund, and James O'Brien.
    Emma Teeson was born in Alexandria on Feb. 19, 1873, the daughter of Douglas County pioneer parents, Robert and Christine McLachlan Walker. She grew to womanhood in Alexandria where she graduated from Alexandria high school in 1891, being salutatorian of her class. She graduated from St. Cloud teachers college, then taught in Douglas county schools, and also in Drayton, N.D. She was confirmed in the Congregational church, and later served as Sunday school teacher and organist. She was united in marriage to Walter L. Teeson on June 20, 1900 and for a time resided in Montreal, Canada where her husband was a banker in the Bank of Canada, and later returned to Alexandria. Since 1934 Emma Teeson lived with her son, George, at Alexandria until suffering a stroke in May 1961, and was hospitalized since that date. During her lifetime she was active in church work and community affairs and was one of the charter members of the Alexandria Woman's Club.
    Mrs. Emma Teeson passed away December 11, 1961 at Our Lady of Mercy hospital at the age of 88 years, 9 months and 22 days. Surviving is one son George of Alexandria and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, one sister, two brothers and a grandson.

    Marion's death certificate from Detroit, Michigan (online at Ancestry) shows that her husband was Mathews Susan (he was the informant), their permanent address was 811 Douglas Street, Alexandria, Minnesota. She had suffered with cervical cancer of the uterus for 4 years, but contributing to the cause of death was X-Ray and Radium.

    George Robert Teeson was born February 15, 1903, in Alexandria, Minnesota, the son of Walter L. and Emma Walker Teeson and died July 2, 1986 in Sun City, Arizona. He is survived by his wife Blanche G., his daughter Elizabeth of Peoria, Arizona, his son Jerry of Coon Rapids, Minnesota and a granddaughter Jennifer of Coon Rapids, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by son Robert W.
    He graduated from Alexandria High School in the class of 1921. George attended the University of Minnesota in 1922-1926 where he was a charter member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and a charter member of the University of Minnesota Alumni Club.
    On October 1, 1926, he opened the Alexandria Insurance Agency which he owned and operated for 40 years. George was active in community service and professional organizations serving as president of the Kiwanis Club, president of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, president of Insurance Federation of Minnesota, president of the Alexandria golf Club, trustee of the First Congregational Church, charter member and trustee of the Elks Club and chairman of the Alexandria Planning Board.
    George and his wife Blanche moved to their Sun City home November, 1973.
    A memorial service was held at the First Congregational United Church of Christ on July 8, 1986 with interment at Kinkead Cemetery.

    The Alexandria community was shocked Sunday morning when it was learned that Robert Walker Teeson, six year old son of Mr. and Mrs. George Teeson, had passed away at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital Saturday evening. He had been playing as usual Saturday when was taken ill in the evening and died shortly afterward.
    Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Congregational church with Rev. Edwin C. Johnson officiating. Interment was made in Kinkead cemetery.
    Robert Teeson was born at Alexandria, March 20, 1941 and was five years, 10 months and five days of age when he passed away. He had been attending kindergarten since last fall.
    Those who survive him are his parents and one sister, Elizabeth; also his grandmother, Mrs. Emma Teeson, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Fairfield, Sr.
