    Suddenly Monday Eve.
    Carsonville, Nov. 1.
    Benjamin James Willis, 56, well known farmer and, thresher of this community, died unexpectedly Monday. evening while threshing at the home of Daniel Kramp, southeast of Croswell. Mr. Willis appeared to be in the best of health and his death came as a shock to this section of the county.
    He was born at Mt. Zion on Nov. 9, 1876. He was 50 years, 11 months and 21 days of age. He was united in marriage to Mrs. Elizabeth McPherson on Feb. 11, 1911. To this union two children were born : Miss Nina Willis and Lee Willis, both at home. He is also survived by two step children: Clarence McPherson, Port Huron, and Mrs Wilfred. Roy Brown, Pontiac ; and the following brothers and sisters: Henry Willis, of the West, Elmer Willis of Ruby, Mich., Mrs. George Christie of McGregor, Mrs. John Badgero of Ferndale, Mrs. Daniel Meiche of Hopkins.
    Funeral services will be held from the Carsonville M. E. church at 2:00 o'clock this Thursday afternoon. Burial will be in Washington cemetery.
