Mrs. Allen (Laura) Miller, 54, of Crookston, died Sunday at a Crookston hospital following a lingering illness of cancer.
The former Laura Buck was born October 15, 1910 at Pingree, North Dakota. She had lived in the Crookston area since 1920. She graduated from the Northwest School, Crookston, in 1928. On July 7, 1934 she married Allan Miller at Crookston.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Donna) Swan of Balaton, Minnesota; a son, Keith of Long Beach California; one granddaughter; her father and step mother, Mr. and Mrs. Ira M. Buck of Red Lake Falls, a sister, Mrs. Hans (Carrie) Drotts of Buffalo; and two brothers, Clarence and Oscar Buck of Oak Creek, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her mother and an infant brother.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, of the Ladies Aid in which she had served as treasurer and was active in all church affairs. She was member of the homemakers club.
Laura married Allan Nelson Miller on 7 Jul 1934 in Crookston, Polk County, Minnesota, United States. Allan (son of Nelson Miller and Letitia Martha Hanna) was born on 13 Dec 1901 in Crookston, Polk County, Minnesota, United States; died on 23 Jan 1969 in Crookston, Polk County, Minnesota, United States; was buried in Oakdale Cemetery, Crookston, Polk County, Minnesota, United States.
