She was born near Inverness Scotland and came to Canada with her parents in 1905 living in Manitoba where she married Daniel Franklin Reid on November 17, 1928. They had one child Margaret Diane. Her siblings were Margaret Ann, Hugh Rose, Kattie and Elizabeth Barbara.
