Agnes Thomson, late of Arbour Lake Seniors' Retirement Centre, of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2007 at the age of 84 years.

Agnes was a dedicated family studies teacher. She was an avid traveler and a lover of mysteries. Agnes had a life-long passion for animals and also enjoyed needlepoint and reading. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she volunteered and sang in the choir. She was also a hospital volunteer.

Agnes was a much-loved mother and grandmother and she will be dearly missed by all. After thirty years of being apart from her beloved husband Ian, Agnes has now joined him. Agnes is the wife of the late Squadron Leader Ian G. Thomson; mother of Bryan, Margaret and Douglas (Susan); grandmother of Rebecca and Emily Leong, Andrew and Ian Thomson; sister of John Maus, Elizabeth Maus, the late Douglas Maus, the late Margaret Bond, Jean McGugan, Donald Maus, Hugh Maus and the late Frances Maus. She is the daughter of the late Elizabeth and the late Jairus Maus.

Funeral Services held at McInnis & Holloway's Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, August 30, 2007. Interment of cremated remains on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at the Ayr Cemetery, Ayr, ON.

Agnes married Ian Gifford Thomson, RCAF, Squadron Leader on 23 Jun 1950 in Ayr, Waterloo Regional Municipality, Ontario, Canada. Ian (son of John G. Thomson and Margaret Malcolm Gifford) was born on 8 Nov 1922 in Vancouver, Greater Vancouver Regional District, British Columbia, Canada; died on 22 Jun 1976 in Ottawa, Carleton County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in Ayr Cemetery, Ayr, Waterloo Regional Municipality, Ontario, Canada.
