It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Marjorie Marion Lalonde passed away peacefully at home on March 20, 2003 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
Mom was born on Christmas morning in 1936 and celebrated her sixty-fifth birthday with all of her family and friends in 2001. She experienced the trip of a lifetime in May of this past year to Europe to attend the wedding of her first grandchild, Genevieve. She was a beautiful woman and lived eah day of her life caring for her children and loving and nurturing her thirteen grandchildren. Nothing was more important to her. She leaves five children, Heather, Jocelyn, Colleen (Carl), Michael, Perry (Jacquie); and her glorious grandchildren, Genevieve (Guido), Aaron, Gillian, Rachel, Sarah, Kelsey, Alicia, Jamie, Shauntel, Brittany, David, Cheyenne and Raylene. She is survived by her brothers, Bill, Jack, Ron and sister Brenda: her brother and sisters-in-law, Charles, Elizabeth, Evelyn, Phyllis and Shirley; numerous nieces and nephews. She will be very missed by her constant companion, Sparky. She will also be very missed by her many friends. Kathy we could not have gotten through this without you.
A celebration of Mom's life will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 400 Midlake Blvd S.E., Monday, March 24, 2003 at 1:00 pm (due to allergies we respectfully ask no scented products be worn). In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Rosedale Hospice. Special thanks to Home Care Nurse Barbara Kearnes for all her help and compassion. Nothing loved is ever lost and she was very loved.
