    Mrs T.R. White
    The funeral of Mrs T.R. White was held from the family home, Elgin Street, Monday afternoon, to the Auld Kirk Cemetery. Mrs White had been ill for some time and she passed away at noon on Saturday, aged 75 years. Deceased was the former Mirtena Barrie and was born in Belleville in 1861, a daughter of the late Thomas A. Barrie and his wife, Margaret Drysdale. As a young girl she lived in Lanark Village and in May, 1894, she was married to the late Thomas R. White, hardware and coal merchant of Almonte, who predeceased her in 1918. Mr and Mrs White, during their lifetime, were members of Trinity Methodist Church and Mrs White continued with that church after union. Funeral services were conducted by Rev Andrew McLauchlin, assisted by Rev Wm Aird, Rev A.J. Fowlie and Rev C.D. McLellan. Pallbearers were: Messrs James Patterson, L.W. Shipman, W.C. Pollock, Wm Jamieson, Dr T.R. Paterson and David Williams. Among the relatives and friends who attended from a distance were: Misses Julia and Blanche Kennedy and Mrs P.J. Daly of Ottawa; Dr and Mrs C.W. Ferrill of Carleton Place; Mr Gerald Dulmage of Perth; Mr and Mrs R.E. White, Mrs May Millar, Miss Ruby Stewart and Mrs M. Watt of Perth; Mr and Mrs Sutherland and Mrs Campbell of Carleton Place.

Thomas was born in 1844 in Bathurst Twp, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; died on 14 Oct 1918 in Almonte, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in Auld Kirk Cemetery, Mississippi Mills, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada.
