Suddenly, on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Stratford General Hospital, Doreen (Harkes) Small-Troyer of Clinton in her 75th year. Loving wife of George Troyer. Predeceased by her first Husband Jim Small (1990) and her son Douglas W.J. Small (1982).
Dear mother of Mary and Rick Wame of Cambridge. Debbie & Rod Ansley of Blyth, and daugher-in-law Mary Lou & Brad Ruston of Dublin. Beloved grandmother of Brad (Tracy) Wame, Brian Wame, Kevin Ansley, Carry (Adam) Durand, Mike (Katie) Ansley, David (Jenn) Ansley, Laura Small, Dawn (Jeff) Holman, and Doug Small. Cherished GG of 11 great grandchildren. Stepmother of Cathy (Rick) Eus and Andrew Troyer (Debbie). Missed by 4 step grandchildren. Survived by her brother Harold (Hazel) Harkes of New Brunswick, sister Sherrin Digulla (Claude) of Listowel and brother-in-law Terry Smith of Port Dover. Also missed by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents James & Luella Harkes,, brothers Jack Har,es, Gordon (Hilda) Harkes sisters Betty Smith and Doris (Cecil) Perrin and 2 nephews Donald Perrin and Harold Harkes.
Cremation has taken place. Friends were received at the Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd. 153 High St. Clinton on Thursday, February 10, 2011 from 12:00 noon until the time of Memorial Service at 2:00 pm. Mr. Rick Wame officiated. Interment of ashes at Fairview Cemetery at a later date. Memorial Donations to Stratford General Hospital, Critical Care Unit or to Nathan Harkes, in Trust would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
