    Funeral Services Held Here Yesterday for Mrs. Howard Cone

    Funeral services for Mrs. Howard Cone, 43, of Ryan Park, who died in the Rawlins hospital Saturday, were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church in Saratoga, with the Rev. Robert Palmer officiating. Burial was in the Saratoga Cemetery.

    Mrs. Cone entered the hospital last Jan. 12 in a critical condition after result of the explosion of a can of distillate as she attempted to build up the fire in her kitchen range. She suffered severe burns of the face, neck, chest, arms and hands, and had undergone several skin graft operations. She had been progressing satisfactorily until complications from pneumonia arose to cause her death.

    Born every 18, 1913, in Halifax, Ontario, Canada, Lucille Skobie met her husband, Howard Cone, in Vancouver in 1941. Mr. Cone was in the Army and stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington. Lucille Skobie was entertaining as a singer with the U. S. O. in Vancouver when they met. Mr. Cone was then sent overseas and served in the Pacific Theater. Following his discharge in 1945, he and Lucille were married in British Columbia.

    They returned to the United States and resided first in Rock Springs, and had lived in Wyoming since. They had been residents of Ryan Park for 6 years.

    Survivors include her husband; 2 daughters, Barbara, 10, and Pamela, 4; her mother, Mrs. Jack Jelbert of Vancouver, her father, Ernest Skobie of Vancouver, and a sister, Mrs. W. A. Wood, also of Vancouver.

    Pallbearers were Merrill Guhl, Arne Erickson, Edgar Stitzel , and Ben Kruse, all of Ryan Park.

Howard (son of Edmond Winfield Cone and Rosa E.) was born on 12 Aug 1911 in Kremlin, Colorado, United States; died on 29 Jul 1982 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah, United States.
