    Died:
    Samuel Wilfred Wilson

The many friends of Samuel Wilfred Wilson were shocked to hear of his sudden death on Oct. 7. He was in his 74th year, having been born on August27th, 1897, and was the youngest son of George Wilson and his wife, Caroline Ennis. he was the great-great grandson of the George Wilson who had come from Dumfries in Scotland with the original settlers in 1816, and he had spent all his life, except for a period he served as a soldier in England during the first world war, on the Scotch Line. There as a farmer he was held in high esteem by all his neighbours. Quiet to excess, modest and unassuming, he could always be relied on in an emergency. Only those who knew him appreciated to the full his kindness and unselfishness.

Five sisters and two brothers survive him - Hazel (Mrs Martin Ennis); Margaret (Mrs Alfred Bowes); Caroline (Mrs Howard Barr), Mary (Mrs Anson Bowes); Agnes (Mrs Alfred Menzies), George Earl, for fifty years a professor in Halifax, and James Arthur, long time resident of Regina.

He was buried in the Scotch Line Cemetery and his pall bearers were George Consitt, Bert Farnell, William Moodie, Ralph Dodds, Harry Ankerbrand, and James Grant.
