    Ontario Death Registration - Lanark County, Division of North Elmsley, Registration # 020600 -
    says William Wilson McLean died July 26, 1932 in North Elmsley Township, at the age of 60 years. He was living in North Elmsley and was married, working as a farmer. The cause of death was edema of lungs, lasting 10 days. The contributory cause of death was valvular heart disease, which he had for 1 year. An operation was performed by Dr. A. W. Dwyer of Perth on July 25, 1932 for Ascites (an abnormal amount of serous fluids in the tissues of the abdomen). William was of Scottish origin, born in Ontario on April 7, 1872, the son of William Richard McLean and Mary Wilson, both born in Ontario. William had lived at his residence in North Elmsley for 18 years, and 40 years in Ontario. The informant of his death was his brother, Thomas McLean of RR5, Perth. William was buried at Rideau Ferry on July 28, 1932 by undertaker, A. Blair of Perth.

    The following is from the McLean Family Tree by Mary A. McLean (1983) -
    Brothers, William Wilson, James Ernest, Edward Charles, and Thomas Archibald, all went to western Canada and homesteaded in the Qu'Apelle Valley in Saskatchewan. They all returned to their old home in Ontario, selling their homesteads in the west.

    William married Harriet Letitia Wrathall on 3 Mar 1909. Harriet (daughter of Samuel Bailey Wrathall and Margaret Jane Crosbie) was born on 16 Feb 1878 in Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; died about 1960; was buried in Rideau Ferry Cemetery, Rideau Ferry, North Elmsley, Lanark, Ontario, Canada.
