Gilmour - On Thursday evening, Nov. 8th, Mr. William Gilmour passed away at the Great War Memorial Hospital, Perth at the age of 72 years. He was the third son of the late James Gilmour and Jessie Crawford. He was married to Mary McDonald of Palmerston, and he was highly esteemed and respected by all who knew him as was shown by the very large funeral. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife and one son, James of Harper, and three daughters, Mrs. Alex. McIntyre, Elphin; Mrs. John S. Nisbett, Lorenzo, Sask., and Mrs. Stanley Purdon, McDonald's Corners, and two brothers and one sister, John, of Denbigh; Edward of Rednersville, Ont., and Mrs. Alex. Duncan, Elphin. The funeral service was conducted by the Rev. Kenneth McCaskill, of McDonald's Corners and the Rev. Mr. Walsh of Maberly. The pallbearers were Messrs. Walter Geddes, Andrew Paul, Dan Geddes, Alex. McDougall, D. J. Nisbet and Howard McDougald. The floral offerings were a beautiful wreath from the family and a spray from the Elphin branch of the Women's Institute. The bereaved wife and family have the sympathy of the whole community.

Duncan 21 years ago last April. She was in her 72nd year and was the youngest of a family of eleven. There are two brothers surviving, John Gilmour, of Ardoch, and Edward Gilmour, of Rednersville. Peacefully, entered into rest at Lanark Lodge on Wednesday, August 6th, 2008 in her 95th year. Beloved wife for 67 years of Jim McIntyre; loving mother of Sandra, Blake (Angie) and Brenda. Cherished grandmother of Rick Cyr (Debra), Jim McIntyre (Sue), Tracy Middleton (Ted) and Robert McIntyre (Elizabeth) and proud great grandmother of Brett and Erin Cyr, Erin and Douglas McIntyre and Jack and Max Middleton. Tena was the youngest of her 5 siblings and the daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Kilby) Blake. She will be fondly remembered by the many students she taught over the years. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth on Saturday, August 9th, 2008 from 1 to 2:45 P.M. Funeral service in the Chapel at 3:00 P.M. immediately followed by a reception in the Blair & Son Family Centre. Interment will be held in Crawford Cemetery, McDonald's Corners at a later date. In remembrance, contributions to Elphin Presbyterian Church or memorial fund of choice would be appreciated. Tena's family would like to extend their thanks to Peggy McClean for her special care and to the staff of Carolina Court and Lanark Lodge.

Purdon, Eva Jeanette (nee McIntyre) 1908 - 2005. Eva passed away peacefully at the hospital in Perth on Monday, December 12th, 2005 in her 98th year. McINTYRE, James Fee Veteran of WWII James F. (Jim) McIntyre entered into rest at the Perth Hospital on Saturday, October 23rd, 2010 in his ninety-ninth year. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of sixty-seven years, Tena, in 2008 and was the loving father of Sandra, Blake (Angie) and Brenda. He will be fondly remembered by his grand-children Rick Cyr (Debra), Jim McIntyre (Sue), Tracy Middleton (Ted) and Robert McIntyre (Elizabeth) and his great-grandchildren Brett and Erin Cyr, Erin and Douglas McIntyre and Jack and Max Middleton. Jim was predeceased by his parents Alexander and Annie (Gilmour) McIntyre and his sister Eva Purdon. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair and Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore Street, Perth on Saturday, October 30th, 2010 from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. The service will be held in the chapel at 11 a.m. Interment for Jim and inurnment for Tena will be at Crawford Cemetery with a reception to follow at Elphin Presbyterian Church.
