    MILLER, M. Evelyn (Mather) At Lanark Lodge, Perth on Friday, March 5th, 2010. Mary Evelyn Miller (former co-owner of Tayside Farms, Perth, Ontario) at the age of 87 years. Predeceased in 1997 by her beloved husband J.R. Ernest Miller. Loved mother of Diane Duncan (Don), Nancy Miller Chenier (John), John H. (Karen) Miller and Ruth Miller-Baker (Ken). Cherished grandmother of Scott and David (Lisa), Natalia and Nicole (Christopher Hogan) and their children Brendan, Anastasia and Cameren, Christopher (Cherith Hyndman) and Melissa (Gonzalo Gutirrez), Jim and Brian Baker and the late Heather Duncan. Dear sister of Harry (late Marion) Mather, Gordon (Jean) Mather and the late John (Ivy) Mather, sister-in-law of Irma (late Harold) Knight and the late Irene (Gilbert) Selland. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth on Thursday, March 11th, 2010 from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 P.M. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Friday at 10:30 A.M. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.     John Miller, co-owner of Tayside Farms near Perth, Ontario, passed away suddenly at his Kincardine cottage on Friday May 2nd, 2014.

    He was a leader in the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority, Lennox and Addington Insurance and many agricultural organizations. John was partner and best friend to Karen (Middleton) Miller, beloved father to Christopher (Cherith Hyndman) and Melissa (Gonzalo Gutierrez). Cherished grandpa to Lucia and Cecilia. He will be sadly missed by family Diane Duncan (Don), Nancy Miller Chenier (John), Ruth Miller Baker, Bobbie Law (Gordon), Jim Middleton (Crystal Cannon), Bruce Middleton (Debbie), Elizabeth Porath and Christine Zacodnik (Allan). He leaves many nieces, nephews, and cousins and friends with fond memories. John was predeceased by his parents J.R. Ernest Miller and Evelyn Miller.

    Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W., Perth, on Tuesday May 6th, 2014 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel Wednesday at 10:30 am. In rememberance, contributions to the Diabetic Society, Ottawa Heart Institute or the Great War Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.

    Suddenly as the result of an accident on Wednesday, May 2, 1884, in her 7th year, Heather Diane Duncan, beloved daughter of Donald Duncan and Diane Miller. Dear sister of Scott and David of RR 3, Almonte. Dear granddaughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Duncan, of Almonte, and Mr and Mrs J.R. Ernest Miller, Perth. Friends may call at the Kerry Funeral Home, 154 Elgin St., Almonte, for visiting Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm, thence to the Almonte United Church for service at 11 am on Saturday, Reverend Jack Lougheed officiating. Interment Auld Kirk Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations made to the Eastern Ontario Children's Hospital or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

    A six year-od child died in an accident last Wednesday evening when she was struck by a car while bicycling along a Ramsay township road near her home.

    Dead is Heather Diane Duncan, daughter of Donald and Diane Duncan who live at RR3, Almonte.

    Police report that the youngster was south bound on County Road 17, 4 1/2 km south of Hwy 44 when she attempted to turn left across the roadway and was struck by a car driven by William F. Orr, 45, of RR 2, Carleton Place.

    Mr. Orr was travelling at 70 km in an 80 kph zone, and was also south bound, police said. He pulled to the left to avoid hitting the child, but the collision occurred in the northbound lande.

    No charges have been laid as a result of the fatal mishap. The investigating officer was Const. Rick Christie of the Perth detatchment of the Ontario Provincial Police.
