  	1933, Thursday September 28, The Almonte Gazette, page 8, virtual stone 2364 Obituary, Joseph Gilmour Another esteemed resident of Almonte for a long period of years has passed out of this life in the person of Joseph Gilmour, afte an illness of two weeks. The late Mr. Gilmour was in his 72nd year and was born in Ramsay Township, living the greater part of his life in Almonte. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Thomas Johnston of Carleton Place, Mrs Wm Wilson of Carleton Place, and Mrs. Jas Townsend of Almonte. Four brothers predeceased him. The funeral was held Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock from the home of his nephew, William Gilmour, and was largely attended by friends and relatives. Rev A.J. Fowlie conducted service at the home and graveside. The pall bearers were Messrs Donald Taylor, James Allison, Charles and James Moore, Edward Gilmour and Alex McLauchlin of Ottawa. Numerous floral offerings testified to the high esteem in which the late Mr. Gilmour was held. Among those noticed in the cortege were Mr and Mrs Alex McLaughlin and Mrs A.A. Gilmour of Ottawa, Mr and Mrs James Gilmour of Kingston, and Mr and Mrs G. Chaput and Mrs Fraser of Pembroke.
