  	Her obituary appeared on 9 Jun 1967 in the Watertown Daily Times in Watertown, Jefferson, New York, as follows: "Mrs. Milton Burhans Dead at 79. Lowville--Mrs. Blanche Stilwell Burhans, 79, wife of Milton B. [sic] Burhans, formerly of Lowville, died this morning in All Souls hospital, Morristown, N.J., where she had been a patient one week. She had been in poor health for months. "Since 1959, Mr. and Mrs. Burhans had lived in Millington, N.J., with their son. "The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Virkler funeral home with Rev. Robert Stover, pastor of the Lowville Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill cemetery, Morristown, N.Y. "Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. "Surviving besides her husband are a son, Allison Burhans, and three grandchildren. "Mrs. Burhans was born Jan. 28, 1888, in Piladephia, a daugter of Willard and Idella Carr Stilwell. She was married to Mr.Burhans on Oct. 1, 1914, in Philadelphia. Mr. and Mrs. Burhans lived in Lowville from 1916 until his retirement in 1959. He was office manager of the Kraft Foods company for years and then superintendent of the Lowville-Beaver River railroad. "Mrs. Burhans was a member of the Lowville Presbyterian church."
