John "Corky" Gibson, 74 of Moore, OK, was born on May 21, 1931 in Pondcreek, OK to Floyd and Grace Gibson, and went to be with the Lord on Aug. 28, 2005. Corky owned & worked his own business Gibson Scale & Construction until retirement in 1993. He liked horse racing, and loved Las Vegas & Tunica. But, most of all he loved spending time with his family. Corky is survived by his 3 children, son, John Gibson, Jr. & wife Laquita of Porum, OK; daughter, Connie McMahan & husband Mike of Mustang, OK; and son, Alan Gibson of Santa Fe, TX; 7 grandchildren, Dana, Travis, Stacie, Tonya, Kristen, Tara & Stevie; 6 great grandchildren, Michael, Courtney, Clayton, Jessica, Kaylan & Tyler. Corky was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis & son Chris. Funeral Services are 1:00pm. Wed., Aug. 31, 2005 at John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, located at 120 S. Broadway in Moore, OK. Interment at 4:00pm, at Pond Creek Cemetery in Pond Creek, OK. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel.
