  	Frances Isabelle Heald, daughter of Clark and Catherine Gilmour Heald, was born near Wells Nov. 2, 1876 and departed this life Dec. 28, 1960 in Asbury hospital, Salina, Kansas, at the age of eighty-four years. In October, 1896, she was united in marriage to Winfred Gerald Comfort and began housekeeping on a farm northeast of Wells. To this union were born eight children, six boys and two girls. She loved farm life and derived much joy from her garden and flowers. She was truly a daughter of the soil. She will be remembered by her family as a devoted mother and to all who knew her as a kind friend and neighbor.
