  	W.R. Ferrier On January 19, 1974, after a very short illness in the GWM Hospital, Perth, William R. Ferrier passed peaacefully into the presence of God. He was born in Burgess in 1896, the son of the late James Ferrier and Margaret Hossie. On August 25, 1939, he married Enid Allan of Allan's Mills. he was in business in Perth and Lanark until he retired in 1973 and took up residence in Perth. At the time of his passing, he was a member and honorary deacon of First Baptist Church, Lanark. He firmly believed with the Apostle Paul, "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Phillipians 1:21. The funeral took place January 22 at 2 pm at Blair and Son Funeral Home. Mr. Robert Thompson, pastor of Lanark Baptist Church, conducted the service. He was assisted by Rev. Frank Spain of Perth Baptist Church. Interment was in Scotch Line Cemetery. The pallbearers were Lloyd Allan, Donald Campbell, Kenneth CAmpbell, Wilbert Foster, Thomas Kear and Gordon Wilson. He leaves one daugher, Glenda (Mrs Ben Gergely), one son, James, and one graddaughter, all of Willowdale. Surviving also are one brother and two sisters, Ross, of Burgess; Marion, (Mrs Lindsay Campbell), of Perth; Jean (Mrs Ira McNaughto) of Oshawa. Removed by death is one sister, Isabel.
