  	Obituary (1916) Thornton John Thornton passed away at his home on the 8th line of Bathurst on Sunday morning, Feb. 6th. Deceaased had been in ailing health for the past year. Having resided in Bathurst all of his life time, he was well and favorably known, and was a successful farmer. He was an Anglican in religion and Conservative in politics. The funeral took place on Tuesday, Feb. 8th, at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, from his late home on the 8th line to the 8th line cemetery for interment services being conducted by Rev. Mr Cole of Maberly.
