  	Her obituary appeared on 11 Feb 1903 in the St. Lawrence Republican and Ogdensburgh Weekly Journal in Ogdensburg, St. Lawrence, New York, as follows: "North Hammond, Feb. 9.-- Our community was shocked to learn of the sudden death of Miss Maggie Miller, which occurred in Ottawa, Feb. 4th, of measles. A few days before she had been invited by a girl friend to visit in Ottawa, and after arriving there both girls were taken ill of measles. Miss Miller was always a frail girl and only a few months ago had a severe run of typhoid fever and had not fully recovered her strength. When her condition became alarming last week relatives were telegraphed for and arrived shortly before death. Her remains were brought to Ogdensburg, and funeral services were held at the home of her brother, Walter Miller, and Friday morning she was buried in Pine Grove [sic] cemetery at Morristown beside her parents and brother. She leaves three brothers to mourn her loss, Walter, of Ogdensburg; Edward [sic] of Morristown, and Frank, of Hammond. Miss Miller was a most estimable young lady and for many years resided in this vicinity where she has a legion of friends who will deeply regret her untimely death.
