  	His obituary appeared on 24 May 1943 in the Ogdensburg Journal in Ogdensburg, St. Lawrence, New York, as follows: "Walter Miller Died Today After Illness. Walter Miller, 3, died at A. Barton Hepburn Hospital, at 9:10 a.m. today. "He was born in Morristown on Dec. 20,1869, son of John and Esther Brown Miller. "He married Miss Jennie McCabe on June 7, 1899 in the St. Mary's Rectory, Rev. Joseph H. Conroy officiating. Mr. Miller was employed as a stationary engineer at the State Hospital for 27 years. He was a member of the St. John's Episcopal Church of this city. "Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Robert Goudy of Gouverneur; five grandchildren; one brother, Frank Miller, one niece, Mrs. Benjamin Gordon and one nephew, Andrew Miller, all of Hammond. "Mr. Miller was a well known Fourth Ward resident and had made his home at 1106 Ford St. "Funeral arrangements are incomplete."
