  	Harry Chaplin Although in failing health for some time, death came quietly and peacefully to Harry Chaplin at the GWM Hospital on June 24th, 1982. he was the eldest son of the late Herbert Chaplin and Hannah Thompson. In 1931 he was united in marriage to Edna S. Kirkham and to them was born two sons, Douglas and Norman. Harry was a farmer all his life until poor health forced him to retire. The Chaplins moved to Perth where Harry worked at the Revere Hotel as a desk clerk. Harry is survived by his wife Edna, son Douglas with his wife Janice and grandchildren Cory and Lisa, of Perth, also Norman with his wife Judith and grandchildren Christine and Bradley, of Innerkip, (Oxford County, ON) Also surviving is his sister Bernice Elmer of Kingston was predeceased by two brothers, Armour of Belleville and Ronald of Perth. Harry lived his home and family and will be missed by a large circle of friends Perth Courier July 21, 1982, p.4
