MRS. JESSIE MAY JULIAN
The death of Mrs. Jessie May Julian, widow of Walter Julian, occurred at the Almonte Nursing Home on Friday, August 16th, 1974. She was in her 93rd year. Mrs. Julian was born at Cedar Hill, daughter of the late Young Miller and his wife Mary Elizabeth Ellis. In 1906 she married Walter Julian, who predeceased her in 1951, and came to reside in Almonte. Of this union Mrs. Julian is survived by four sons, Archie, Albert and Eric of Almonte, Lloyd of Hanover, Ontario and three daughters, Mary (Mrs. John Poynter), Carleton Place, Edna (Mrs. Rene McKinnon), Hull, Quebec, and Betty (Mrs. Roger Moodie) of Kanata. Three sons predeceased her; Harold, George and Bert and four children died in infancy. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. Allan Woods (Ethel), of Indian Head, Saskatchewan, also survives. The funeral took place on Monday, August 19th from the Comba Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. and burial was in the Auld Kirk. Rev. Robert McCrea conducted the services. Pallbearers were four grandsons, Ray Julian, Terry Julian, Allan Julian, Kim Julian and Milton Saunders and a family friend, Joe Bowman.
