- Mary A. Ferguson Romanelly, 84, of Saginaw, Mich., and formally of Terre Haute, passed away Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, at HealthSourch, Saginaw after a lengthy illness.
She was born April 30, 1922, in Saginaw, to George Matthew and Grace Rose RIBBLE FERGUSON.
She married John ROMANELLY, Nov. 2, 1945, he preceded her April 14, 1993.
She and her husband were very active in Boy Scouts of America and Girl Scouts of America for many years and enjoyed membership in the Tri-City and Timbertown Camping Clubs.
She had been employed by Opportunity Manufacturing Company for many years until its closing. After retiring, she made her home in Terre Haute, where she was a member of Maple Avenue United Methodist Church. She returned to Saginaw in 2004.
Surviving are two daughters, one son and their spouses, Carol and Glenn BEERS of Owosso, Mich., Robert and Judith ROMANELLY of Terre Haute, and Sandra and Larry STONE of Bay City, Mich.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a bother-in-law, Harvey GEIERSBACH of Florida; one niece, one nephew and their families.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Nathan STONE; a granddaughter, Anne Marie DIETZ; and a sister, Daisy P. GEIERSBACH.
Funeral service are 11 a.m. Thursday at W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel in Saginaw, were friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rev.
